Have you ever had one of those days? Well mine was yesterday. It started like any other I decided to make burritos for dinner. *Refried beans and hamburger were the staple. After all was done I went into the freezer to get the shells and there were none. So when you have no tortillas you have no burritos right? Well I decided I would just add cheese and salsa to the beans and serve them as a chili. It did not quite work out since I had cooked the beans all day and they were getting ready to become refried. *New recipe that made the family say Yum and even the 18 month old loved it. So salvaging the dinner by mix and matching things together worked. After dinner went to do the dishes and found myself out of Liquid Dishwasher liquid *I usually get Target brand dishwasher liquid works great if you add TBSP of bleach to it and vinegar to the rinse cycle for spot removal. Well I looked online and found a recipe for homemade *Dishwasher liquid which cost the equivalent of 4 bottles of store bought soap. The website that shows step by step directions is as follows: Dishwasher it worked so great and my dishwasher looked so clean on the inside that I no longer will buy store bought. I was skeptical at first. I have tried to use regular Dawn before and had to fight suds for two days all over the kitchen floor. Slipping and sliding while trying to stop the water. What a cliché but true it does pour out the bottom of the dishwasher and you do fall on you caboose take it from me not fun! It work amazingly no suds and sparkling dishes. I am going to try the recipe for the laundry soap next week and I will let you know how that works. I will never recommend anything I have not tried or eaten before. So after that fiasco of dinner and dishes it was time to change little J and I opened his diaper not his regular diapers we ran out and a friend brought me over some that are the Walmart brand supposedly just as good as *LUVS which I have always used on him here is website to get coupons . It had only been two hours I opened his diaper and he had a RASH!!! Saving 4 dollars to buy generic Parent's Choice not my choice! It takes the extra 4 dollars to get rid of the rash. I am able to get rid of it in 1 to 2 days by two methods. *A cream and a soak, it works for all types of rashes on any part of the body. So after all of that I settle down with my husband and son to do a family activity. "We choose" and I loosely use the word we really them decide to play the Wii which can be put on layaway at *Kmart without paying interest at one of those rent to own places if you can't afford to pay for it all at once. So anyway we decide to play Super Mario Bros. Um can I just say having a teenager and a younger husband that is a gamer is not fun to play with since it is serious business and did I mention I Suck at it! I am horribly bad. The good thing is I don't care if I am made fun of when we are playing. *If you suck like me at Mario you can push the A button get into a bubble where you can stay so you don't die and let the die hard players get you through. Or if you have Yoshi someone can swallow you and carry you in their mouth the whole round. This is a good way for your family to not get mad at you for dying and you can still have fun with them instead of sitting there not being a part of the fun. I took out hamburgers for dinner tonight and made sure there were buns and there were so things are looking up for the day...
Tips for the day:
Tip 1: Refried beans- Soak beans over night, Boil beans when semi hard add the meat you want I add Chorizo, cut up a onion, add chicken or beef bullion cubes I add 2. Simmer until soft use hand mixer to mush. I owe some of this recipe to my very good friend Kathy.
Tip 2: Take the refried beans do not mix with mixer instead add Velveeta cheese, salsa of any kind let melt mix put into bowl and server with Garden Salsa Sun Chips.
Tip 3: 1 cup of Baking Soda - $2.37

1 cup of water
I add a cap full of degreaser
3 Tbsp of Vinegar in Rinse dispenser where you put Jet Dry $1.39
This makes a lot of detergent I tripled the recipe and filled a Tide container I had 64Oz.
Tip 4: Target is the less expensive place to get LUVS diapers and if you get coupons in emails or sign up for LUVS online they send you coupons to save anywhere from $1.00 to $3.OO.
Tip 5: Take a cup of baking soda add it to warm bathwater let them soak for a while do not apply soap of any kind. After apply a generous amount of Silken Udder Balm.
